This post is the combination of two sessions – a maternity and newborn session and it’s unique because it was for twins!
What was especially nice was this family found me online but we live only a few blocks away, so I walked there (I love living in the city!) and we stayed in the neighborhood for the maternity session. (Mom only had a month left!) We planned a few photos to try to duplicate with the babies, so they are included at the end. It’s fun to see them side by side. The twins are so adorable and they were big babies! Over 7 pounds each! That’s unheard of for twins.
My philosophy for newborn sessions is to keep them pretty natural. I don’t like to pose much and prefer to record life as it happens. In this case it seemed whenever one baby was happy, the other one was fussy – totally expected and fine! I kept capturing them. (I think crying babies are really adorable. Yawning, too.) There’s one photo where you can tell Annabelle isn’t thrilled with her crying brother. Look at the comparison between the color photo and the black and white one – she actually starts scowling at him! And the one with her tiny pinky, too cute. I loved these sessions!
