I love gift giving. Love-Love-Love. And gifts that are beautiful and well designed -amazing. Enter the Lovely Package Exchange from oh, hello friend – a gift exchange where the point is to make the package as pretty as possible. I signed up and we were each given a person. Our job was to see their style and design gifts and packaging that they would enjoy. Not only was it fun, it forced me to do art. And paint. And to find Martha Steward high gloss black paint (amazing, buy it!)
So for the gifts I painted a different design on each item taking inspiration from some of the art my partner had said she liked. In the art she liked, I noticed a lot of cream tones with bright pops of color, so I mirrored that look.
Then I gave a small clue on each package…
The package is in the mail now! So excited to hear how it’s received. And, of course, I can’t wait to get the package that was created for me.
