Today I had a vision of reading all day, relaxing my way into the coming (work) week. This did not happen. Waking up at 6am I started cleaning my kitchen. Yes, for some reason I want to clean early in the morning. Strange as it seems, it’s productive!
When I got the call that my 2012 print was ready, I knew my plan to stay home wasn’t going to happen. A trip to Michael’s (for a frame) and Office Max for the print, resulted in this:
So honestly, I felt like I was stealing from Office Max. A 11×17 print on bright white #80 cover stock costs 30 cents! Is it 1950?! I uploaded it last night and it was ready in the morning. My mind is racing about other prints I can create. This is very good.
Since I was in the area, I stopped into Home Depot on a mission. I’ve had pegboard around for months with hopes it would magically attach itself to my kitchen wall. It never happened. Not one to ask for help, I ventured in and was shocked at how thoughtful screw manufacturers are in their packaging. A pack of screws that comes with a screw bit = made my day. So after using duct tape (just temporarily!) and a second trip to Home Depot (boo!), I am proud to say my pegboard is installed and, as of the moment, still on the wall. My try something new challenge for 2012 is already paying off.
Inspired by my clean, organized kitchen I made pizza dough AND soup today. Crazy.
2012 is off to a productive start!
