Being a natural light photographer almost all of my sessions take place outside. This is perfect most of the year, but January and February don’t like to cooperate much. (And I’ll admit, being cold is my least favorite thing!) So where do you go for a family session in the winter? Well, the perfect solution is Longwood Gardens! It was green and beautiful and most importantly, warm!
When the session started Miss Lila decided she was in a very serious mood and didn’t want to smile (you’ll see a little of that below). But soon enough she came around and was much happier. The session was very relaxed we just walked around and looked for good light. The greenery wall was a very cool surprise. I’ve been to Longwood a few times and never knew it existed! (This might be tmi but this wall lines a hallway of the nicest individual bathrooms I have ever seen – they were like little domed havens complete with skylight and, of course, an orchid! Next time you go, check them out!)
I have many favorites from this session. The one that makes me smile is when the Richardson’s are kissing and you’ll notice that little Lila looks like she’s ready for a kiss too! Very cute. Enjoy!
Thanks Richardson family!
